Should Add Salt, Not Sugar to Coffee

Should Add Salt, Not Sugar to Coffee - Of the many types of healthy drinks in the morning, coffee is usually the main choice. But the habit of adding sugar or cream to coffee was not healthy.

Health experts even mention, drinking coffee with lots of sugar can increase the risk of obesity and high blood sugar that trigger the occurrence of type 2 diabetes.

But there is a solution for you who like coffee and not strong with bitterness. A study published in the journal Nature found that sodium or salt ions can neutralize the taste of coffee and increase its taste.

"Unlike sugar, a pinch of salt can make a difference in taste," the researchers wrote, as published by the Independent, Tuesday (11/4/2017).

This is not the first time drink enthusiasts praised the nature of salt. A beverage expert who is also former chief technology officer of Microsoft, Nathan Myhrvold said, adding a few grains of salt in a glass of wine can balance the taste of cheap wine so better.
